In Fukuoka's darkest and most dazzling garden
Become a traveler of your inner nature

Ohori Park Japanese Garden
SCROLL ↓

Expanding Fukuoka's Nights Expanding Fukuoka's Nights

The stage is set in the Japanese Garden nestled in a corner of Ohori Park.

Ohori Park has its roots in a park developed for the East Asia Industrial Exhibition held in 1927, making it a place where diverse cultures and arts intersect.

By creating a space where art centered on "Japanese Garden × Digital" can be experienced, we aim to diversify Fukuoka's nighttime options and expand the city.

ABOUT What is SORA?

SORA is a groundbreaking art event that fuses traditional Japanese gardens with digital technology.
Located at the southern edge of Ohori Park, a beloved recreational space for citizens, the Japanese Garden has been chosen as the stage for SORA - a new nighttime entertainment experience situated between light and darkness, close to the city center.

In SORA, projection mapping illuminates various garden features that mimic natural landscapes, with visitors following these lights as their guide. The interactive content scattered throughout the garden responds to visitors' movements, creating a sensation of dialogue with nature.

Through digital technology, the garden appears to come alive with its own consciousness. This visualizes the Japanese concept that 'spirits dwell in all things.'

At the foot of Ohori Park, turn your gaze to your inner nature and become a traveler exploring your internal landscape.
